I need to use the library’s database to access resources for my research paper. How can I use OneSearch?
Answer
The library's databases can be accessed in two ways:
- Select the database you wish to search from the A-Z Directory, found on the library website homepage. You will find information on what type of content is provided for each database so you can search one that best meets your information needs.
- Search the OneSearch discovery platform.
OneSearch is a tool that searches across most library resources (physical materials, eBooks, articles, magazines, newspapers, videos, etc.) and brings back all the results in one place.
- To access OneSearch, visit the library's home page.
- Type in a subject, keyword, book title, or author name in the 'OneSearch' field and click Search.
- Narrow your search by using the various filter options on the left hand side. For example:
- Narrow your Resource Type
- Filter results to scholarly or peer reviewed journals under Availability
- Does it need to be current? Adjust the Publication Date
- Click Apply Filter at the bottom left corner of the page
